Gallery Exhibition

Women’s Business - Opening Reception:
Thursday April 30th

Women’s Business explores the sacred stories of Indigenous culture through the works of our most revered female artists. The exhibition will showcase the diverse ways in which they express their dreamings that have been passed down through the generations.

From the mesmerising lines that represent the body paint, singing and dancing of Aweyle ceremonies, to the women’s business of collecting bush foods and making bush medicine – the exhibition is a carefully curated collection of works that celebrate the woman’s role in Indigenous culture and their powerful relationship with the land in which the live on and the way in which they preserve their culture through art.
