Our winemaking is the essence of any Mitchelton experience. Our premium range of Mitchelton wines are traditional in style and crafted from our Nagambie or Heathcote estate owned vineyards. These intense, elegant and distinctive wines are true to region, vintage and variety. The luxury wines from our Toolleen vineyard in Heathcote, occupy a unique parcel of Cambrian soil in which Shiraz vines thrive, producing fruit of incomparable quality in limited parcels, while The Bend wines showcase those everyday varietals for relaxed, casual entertaining.
Our contemporary, fruit driven Preece collection pay tribute to highly decorated wine industry icon and our inaugural winemaker Colin Preece.
Preece wines made a proud return to its home at Mitchelton in August 2017. A brand with fond memories amongst wine circles in the late 1980s and 90s, the wines honour Australia’s master blender Colin Preece with his legacy continuing under the winemaking helm of our iconic winery.
Creatively exploring Victoria’s rich and diverse viticultural landscape with careful vineyard and fruit selection, the Preece wines source the best varietals from the best regions including Nagambie, Yarra Valley, King Valley, Heathcote and Great Western. Fresh, vibrant, fruit driven styles are brought to life through the innovative Generative Design, where no two labels on any Preece bottle are alike.
