Escape to thoroughbred country this Melbourne Cup Day. We are celebrating our region’s rich horse racing pedigree with sparkling wine and our signature wood-fired roast. Toast the race that stops the nation with a glass of Mitchelton NV Cuvée followed by mixed cuts of succulent wood-fired beef accompanied by dukkah flatbreads, wood-roasted cauliflower, charred spring greens, triple cooked potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, roast beef gravy and mustards. Generations II - Exhibiting Saturday 14th September - Tuesday 12th November

Generations II, a collection of works from the iconic Possum Family – Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi, Michelle Possum Nungurrayi, Lionel Possum Tjungurrayi and extended family, and is the second exhibition of its type. The first Generations was curated by Adam Knight’s Aranda Art Gallery in Melbourne in 2009, and was the first and only exhibition where Clifford’s artistic family members were represented together. Generations II, some 10 years later includes four generations of Clifford’s family, including some who have more recently taken up the brush.

The exhibition allows visitors to observe the artistic similarities and subtle differences between generations. Importantly this exhibition is an exceptional opportunity to view and gain an understanding of the importance of these artworks and how stories and knowledge are passed on through art works, stories, songs and dancing to future generations to educate and preserve our Indigenous culture.

Winemakers Lunch

Every week at Mitchelton we present the Winemakers Lunch. Featuring a selection of menu items curated by Executive Chef Dan Hawkins, the Winemakers Lunch heroes the best of local, seasonal produce from the Goulburn Valley region.

Changing weekly, the two-course menu includes entrée and main, tea or coffee, petit fours and a glass of our Estate wine $39.
